The Japanese battleship Yamato was one of World War II. It ran from pile at the shipyards of Kure and served in the Pacific. Because of its size and its firepower it should deter enemy vessels. It is indeed hoped in this way to get an advantage on the Americans. On 7 April 1945, the Yamato was brought by planes from US aircraft carriers sunk. The model shows the Yamato with additional air defense as it did in 1944. The model can be built only with waterline hull.
