star Wars

Star Wars is a space opera / science fiction film series in six parts, partly written and directed by George Lucas. The first film in the series was released on May 25, 1977, under the title Star Wars, by 20th Century Fox. This film was washed with a 3-year interval, followed by a 2-many sequels. Sixteen years after the last sequel was the first of a three-tal-called "prequel" recorded the final films in this trilogy was published on May 19, 2005.

The Star Wars -filmreeks is the third most successful film series of all time (behind Harry Potter and James Bond series), with a total revenue of 4.3 billion dollars. The six films are recorded in two sets of three. The first series consisted of sections 4, 5 and 6, and began with Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope (1977). The title of this film was originally simply Star Wars, George Lucas but only got permission from 20th Century Fox to change the name after the release of the sequel The Empire Strikes Back (1980). The reason was that it was initially so doubtful that there ever a sequel would come when she would show no subtitle. Also, it would provide too much confusion as the first movie started with the designation Episode IV.
