The Bombardment of Algiers took place on August 27, 1816. An Anglo-Dutch fleet under Admiral Lord Exmouth bombarded ships and the harbor defenses of Algiers. Vice Admiral Frederick Jhr.Theodorus of Capellen commanding the Dutch ships. Other Dutch participants were midshipmen Frederik Anton Johr and Andrew Charles Burr Houckgeest. Format: 192 x 138 cm.
